Performance Line Integration

Into the third week of Hammer and Chisel, my performance line order arrived! I was pretty excited to try them out to see what effect the products would have on my workout and results. I have been happy with both! It does take some planning because as a person that works out in the morning, I had to allow time for preparing the pre workout and during workout cocktails! I love my extra zzz’s in the morning, so this is definitely a consideration. It’s been WORTH IT! Here’s the lowdown on the products.

Energize, Hydrate, Recover

Energize is mixed with water and you drink it up to 30 minutes BEFORE working out. Energize is used to help you work harder for longer. Think – I can do all the reps or the full minute of a tough move. The flavor is a little lemon-y and pretty easy to get down. I add ice so it’s nice and cold.

Hydrate is also mixed with water and you drink it DURING your workout. I’m usually drinking water anyway, so this one is easy and I like the lemon-y flavor. I add ice to this one too and keep a spoon in my cup to stir in case any powder settles to the bottom. Hydrate is specially formulated for rapid fluid absorption to keep a fluid balance. Hydrate also accounts for sweat losses during intense exercise, which helps improve exercise efrectiveness and recovery.

Chocolate Flavor! Recover provides the proper nutrients and phytonutrients AFTER exercise to facilitate muscle recover and manage exercise-induced muscle soreness. Recover tastes great and gives high quality protein right after the workout. I come right upstairs, mix it up and drink it down!

Recharge – I have used Recharge one time from the sampler pack. Recharge is vanilla flavored and is taken at NIGHT. It is formulated to aid your body in recovery during SLEEP. The vanilla flavor is easy to drink and the 20g of casein protein before bed improves overnight muscle recovery.

Creatine – I have not tried the Creatine, but I do have a sample packet that I’ll try in the second month of the program. Many studies have shown that Creatine can enhance gains in lean muscle, muscle strength and power. Since I am not in training for any type of event, I think this one may be overkill for me.

I plan to keep up with Energize, Hydrate and Recover since that’s what I currently have on hand. I’m also going to order the Recharge for the second month of the program. Looking forward to it!
