Getting crazy with Shaun T.!

This is my third week of the Insanity Max 30 program. MAX 30 is a Shaun T fitness program. It’s 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 60 days. I was nervous to try the program and the description definitely had me second guessing myself!! Everyone I talk to says this is the program to follow to uncover the abs! 

The program arrived in a great looking Insanity Max 30 box, an excellent nutrition guide book with full-page, full-color recipes and food lists. I love the way Beachbody packages their products! Everything fits in the box in a certain way – I always feel like it was prepared especially for me! Lol

The workout dvd’s are organized in two sections – one for each month of the program and the fitness snippets about each workout are encouraging 😉 Here’s an example from Tabata Strength.

“You won’t see this until halfway through month 1 because Shaub T takes it up a notch  (or two) in this NO REST, Tabata-style workout.” Hmmmm??

Tabata style is 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off on a move. 20 seconds can sure seem like  a LONG TIME!  


I have done a great job of keeping up with the workouts. I definitely Max Out early and could probably push a little bit harder. I do the entire 30 minutes. My goal for week four is to try and beat my max out times. I may as well, because after this week the workouts change  –  it’ll be almost like starting over – like a new program, but not quite.

Here’s a snippet from  Max Out Strength from the month 2 calendar.

“Max strength and max fat burn are what you’ll get from this “45 second on, 15 second off” Tabata-style routine. Your arms, shoulders, chest and core will be toast after this workout.” Uh-ok, I guess!


The container program for eating was familiar to me, but for those who would not be familiar with it it would be easy to follow and having a set of containers would be helpful. If you’re not familiar with the Portion Fix container program, here’s a short video about how the containers work.

Here are a few of the meals I prepared during the first couple weeks of Insanity Max 30. Next week will be very similar to the previous, but i know I have to be vigilant to get all the containers in in a day and drink all my water.
