Country Heat – Complete!

The Heat is On

Yay! This week I completed the full 30 days of the cardio dance fitness program, Country Heat. My goals were to do the workouts everyday and keep to the eating plan. I didn’t start out with the goal to be super strict on the eating, but to stay aware of my containers and not fall totally off the wagon.

Early morning workouts are not easy to commit to, but I have found that’s the best time for me to make sure I get it done. I cannot stand having my workout hanging over my head all day. I can’t say I love getting up in the dark, that’s for sure!

Food and Workouts

I had a couple of derailments with sugar during the month, but was able to maintain my scale weight and measurements. One of my 2016 fitness resolutions was to stay at or around 125 pounds. So far, so good!

I wasn’t totally sold on dance fitness, but I’m a believer now. It’s so fun and a total body workout. No getting down on the floor at all, but you still get the ab workouts in – crunches standing up like in this Gospel Hop move. My step count has consistently been between 2500-3500 every morning which helps me reach my 12k step goal with my Fitbit!

Meal Planning

We did some traveling this past month, which can make meal planning a challenge. I didn’t do too terribly bad – tried to stick to the 80/20 rule for this round. Here is my meal plan for the last couple of days and the rest of this week!

Fitness on Demand

I was able to stick to the workout calendar, since I’m using Beachbody on Demand. With my phone or laptop, I have my workout with me wherever I go! I used to pay about $150 a year for Planet Fitness (and barely go!), so paying $99 a year for Beachbody on Demand is so much more worth it. Plus, there’s tons more available with Beachbody on Demand than just workouts. It’s like Netflix for health and fitness.  I’m preparing to try some Fixate recipes from the cooking show and also see who the new supertrainer will be from the reality show, The 20’s. I included some of the first episode below.

I’m so pumped about Beachbody on Demand that I’m putting together a late September challenge group that will feature BOD! Fill out the information form here or scroll down and fill it out below.

Everyone can try Beachbody on Demand for 30 days! Get your free trial here!
